Upgrade ideas

Getting myself a Magnetar before we move out west.
Wife wants to upgrade her GM1000. Choices are Axiom, a Manticore or GM2000 to look for specimens and tiny bits I may miss.
I don't think another PI is the right way to go but open to ideas.
Be in AZ, ID, NV, MT, SD, ND, WY, UT on GPAA and LDMA claims but mostly in areas I identify as likely.

Looking for gold and with only those choices, I'd go with the GM2000. If it's all tiny shallow gold, it's still hard to beat a Gold Bug 2.
