sorry about that, i was in a hurry, when i get home i will post the pictures of the rest of them.
a friend found a exploding cannon ball some years ago, its now in the museum, then another guy found the one in the first picture, he swares its a shot put. now i found out why, its because the old shcool had a box of them and the kids still use them as shot puts. you can see why i put urgent, they where seen tossing them around on the beach yesterday. as kid i rpobobly threw them, 40 years ago, apparently they where in the school from the beginning, 1920's, where they came from know one seems to know.

What bugs me is not the fact they will not let me see it , but the fact they say its only 5 cm in diameter, i held in my hand last year and i thought it was about 4 to 5 inches in diameter not 5 cm's. ???

I just read my first reply again, and evidently when you made the first post, one of your photos was titled "Shot Put!" (see my reply--the First reply to this thread--quoted below!)

So, what are you asking?

Your photo is titled "shot put."

How about a decent photo, along with the weight of the item, and stating what exactly you want us to ID.

Evidently when I made that reply #1, I didn't understand what you wanted me to ID, since there was no text in the post, and your only photo was titled "SHOT PUT"!!! Then you went back and modified the post after I had replied to it, changed the title of the photo to "Clip_9" and reposted that shot again with another photo--so that you could weave a big story and pretend to be SO concerned about what these Mystery Exploding Cannonballs were. (see the time of your edit!) Why did you change the photo title? (Notice that I tried to honestly ID your find, and I didn't even remember that the photo was originally titled "shot put" by the time someone ID'ed it!)

You knew what the item was all along, and you have now spun this out for two pages and wasted a LOT of our time.

You are a TROLL. And you'll get no more rises out of me. >:(

Those are clearly viking anti-aircraft rounds. Be very careful, you turn the dial to arm them. They are very stable when not armed. you can throw them around all you want, but once you arm them and they bump together, goodbye ! will clear 2-3 city blocks

Conclusion is that in the past 9 years since this was first posted the shot put has not exploded. ;-)
