Is there anywhere you guys recommend for used prospecting equipment?? Mainly looking for a power head to use a sluice in bad weather. Thanks in advance for any help.
Clubs, Craigs listings, Face book, Wanted adds. other adds etc. Is a good start.

When buying used equipment , know what your looking for and how to spot bad equipment. And what this used equipment is worth considering that it is used and it's condition ! You could / should save some $$$ buying used IF it still works correctly ! Good Luck ! :icon_thumleft: :occasion14:

Excellent point and will save you time and headaches. With that being said if one is willing to rebuild or modify buying a dead unit item or poor functioning equipment can be a foundation to build upon that will save you time and materials.

As some may know by now I like to buy poor functioning equipment from estate sales to fix or build upon. This can save time and materials however not the headaches for some.

Great. I was thinking the posts where helping the thinking out process of what to buy.

Just another idea here is to check out used wheel chair aluminum ramps to use as the foundation of a new build. Good ones are very flat and most of the welding is done for you, just add the sides you want and the riffles / matting etc.
