Vintage patinated foo dog with gold accent, real or fake?

Hi,

This came to us from an estate sale. I found a posting from something similar that was on Etsy, but the listing is no longer on Etsy. Attached are photos an a screen cap of the Pinterest post we have.

Can anyone weigh in on whether this is an antique, or a quality vintage reproduction that has some value?

I found one that was listed on eBay for $30 which seem like a common value for other Foo guardians

From my experience, you can foo some of the people some of the time, even if they have a foo guardian.


In other words... I don't know. But that will still look cool in your front entry way.

is more similar to our item. Theirs is smaller, 7.5" compared to 16". They give no age estimate, though. Only "age unknown".
