I just read on another post about how oxalic acid can be used to de-rust old cans, signs, and license plates without ruining the paint/finish. Might try that on some of your new finds
Great stuff bountyhuntergirl! I like the Ipana toothpaste tube. I've found a couple of those myself. Ipana was big in the 50s. Bucky Beaver was the featured mascot on the TV commercials. He was always fighting evil tooth decay. Welcome to the Ipana Club!
Yeah! Looks like that site has potential. Last virgin site I found had lots of aluminum cans and screw-tops galore! My buddy got a 1919 or so motorcycle license plate tho small and oval. Best item i got there was some 1970s hot wheel car and a few copper pennies from 1970s. Will have to go back later to try again.
