Well I traveled up I 95 to visit an old friend in southern Virginia. He lives on a late 1700s plantation home. I come up every year for a few days to visit and do some detecting. I got out today about noon and did find a few relics. My best find of the day was the Virginia 2 piece civil war button. Although it has a push on the face I love it. I also dug 4 flat buttons which I always enjoy. Also a few coins, a buckle and some other odds and end including a 1922 Virginia dog license that I believe is dated 1922. I’ll be going out again for a few hours tomorrow. Wish me luck. Thanks for looking and happy hunting to all!

Very Nice!!! Congrats!!!

Just found your first thread… the only thing I have ever found on my property that has an actual date was a very similar Virginia hunting dog tag…. I will pull it out tomorrow and post a picture on here , I believe mine is from 1996 , we will see if similar

Very nice button finds FF, sometimes the button finds save the day!
I've always wondered why the backs of flat buttons were beautifully decorated and yet the front were left plain.
