WA Fine Gold Equipment? What do you use WA?

I have two Angus MacKirk sluices the Scout and Recon. Also run a 2 1/2" Keene dredge 1" riffles with miners moss and low profile V rib matting in the bottom. I am curios what everyone else runs and why?

I'm almost done building a highbanker, set up with Vortex matting like my gold cube has. It'll be a lot easier to transport and set up, and with a change of mat I can use it almost anywhere I can pack battery. I also have an Angus Mackirk for when I want to travel ultra light.

LRC253 how well does the Bazooka Gold trap work? Are you catching the super fine gold lets say -30 and smaller? I know the Angus MacKirk gets the super fines I love both of mine.

It's impossible to say if I get it "all" but I've had much more success with it. It catches the very small stuff just as well. I know this because thats all I ever get is the small stuff.. haha .. But just like any sluice you have to monitor the water flow. The BGT requires good flow where my angus mackirk I use on the slower creeks.

The BGT is also nice because I litterally shovel straight into it without classifying.

Now that I ahve it, I'll likely run my Gold Cube about 90% of the time,
but then I don't do much hiking back in to the more remote spots. Also have
A51 and A52 Keene sluices, and when working local creeks I generally outfit it
with v-matting (full length) covered with a double layer of expanded metal set
up with the holes offset.

Hard to beat a Gold Cube, but the Bazooka is a very efficient
piece of kit, no doubt. I've found the combo I'm using on the
sluices to be the best at catching the fine and micro gold,
but the Cube is a whole lot faster at processing material,
and it never loses even the finest of flypoop..

Yes and no. The mat only holds 1/8"minus but if you put a highbanker top with a 3/16" screen on it and attach a spray bar, you can shovel unclassified onto it. I used mine at the beach since the sand is already been classified for me. It leaves you with super cons.

I liked how it works so well I built a highbanker and put some vortex mat in it. It's easier to transport in the field and with a mat and classifier screen change I can use it in areas that has bigger yeller stuff.

I was lucky enough to see Mikes highbanker in action. I ran his tailings today and I can honestly say he lost nothing out of the sluice box. I ran the tailings through my AM Scout and it catches -200 and smaller I double checked the black sands with a 10X loupe and nothing. Its an amazing machine.

However......Kai was kind enough to not tell how much I lost on the the grizzly tailings side.
I'm not disappointed with the results by any means but he gave me a couple things to think about and I have a plan in mind for increasing my recovery by at least 10%, if I can do some delicate welding. I aint reinventing the wheel, just trying to figure out what works best to get better at what I like doing. I do all the research I can and put things in motion to see what happens. Every time my wife hears me say "I going to try an experiment" I get the look, and then she resigns herself to the fact that I have to do what I have to do to see what happens if......$$$$$$

Is that 4 tall cans attached to the base of the dolly in the background? Great way to transport!
