Was It Circumstance Or Just Common Reading For AT Pro?

For what it is worth my 350 depth when swinging rarely matches the pinpointing depth. Swing shows depth deeper.
The pinpointing seems more accurate at real depth.
I often wonder if I am discriminating Iron out and get a good hit coin hit, but when I pin point I actually pick up on a near by Iron. Semi trashy area. Told Pinpointing does not discriminate.
So I only trust the pinpoint depth. Just the way Garrets are?

Remember you're probably swinging 1"- 2" above the ground so in reality you probably digging 6". It is possible someone went through and cherry picked. Don't rely on the depth it says it is either. If your getting a good strong signal it's most likely not 8". My signal is weak at 8" unless it is a can or something

True Normsel, but I never really stated that I was getting good strong signals at 8". As a matter of fact I was getting very faint signals on the dimes at 8", but by taking my time and listening to the Pro and sweeping back and forth and digging, I was retreiving them.

I've noticed most of my targets come up as 8" deep. I haven't really paid much attention to how deep they actually were, but I know they weren't 8". Maybe it is something common to the ATP? Speaking of depth, I dug a bottle cap from an old 2 liter Coke bottle at 14". I was very surprised and had to measure the actual depth.
