Washington and Independence One Cent 1783

Just came back from a hunt and got a really nice find! Would have been on my bucket list if I knew it existed before I pulled it from the ground.
(Sorry for the pics. Taking them in the evening after the hunt).

Washington and Independence One Cent 1783



Looked great even straight from the ground.


I believe they were produced in late 1700's early 1800's and are pretty rare to find.

Sometimes just one good find can make my hunt. It was certainly the case today.

According to "The Official Red Book/A Guide Book of United States Coins" your "Unity States" large cent was issued in 1783 only. That is one nice find and one I will never see in my dirt!

Well I'm in Canada. Didn't have a good chance to find it here. Never know
