Weatherman threatened with predictions of 50mph winds; I wasnt' buying it...14K today
Hi
,
Too nice outside to stay in, so I headed out 2 hrs. pre- low tide to seek my fortune.
Winds were no-where near 50mph
and the sun was shining....great conditions
Well, I tell you...after 2 1/2 hrs. of finding clads , lures, golf balls ( one adorned with barnacles
), and misc. junk metals, I headed toward shore to start for home...
but something told me to return to an area on the other side of the pier where I had hunted earlier..it just looked more promising after more "muddy flats" appeared.
I was really tired, but determined to return home with something more than clads.
After gridding a few rows at the return site with nothing much to show for the effort, and ready to accept my fate of a "clad " day, I suddenly heard that nice low "growly" sound and proceeded to scoop out a 14 K ring.
It was about 5 " deep in the mud
Here's a couple of pics..
Thanks for looking
Lorraine
