That brings my dimes average to 29 out of 18 boxes... 1.6111 per $250 box.

Keep up with the quarters.. I'm always curious about doing quarters because that's one of the few denominations beside small dollar coins that I haven't searched yet. I have yet to jump into those waters but eventually will. Any encouragement would be good.

Hey SFBay you should try quarters. Here I'm averaging about 1 per 2 boxes albeit I've only done 8 total and one is an outlier with 11 silver.

It's weird but I spoke to a teller that does CRH while at work and she said that she looks at quarters. I asked if she had any good results and she said she didn't find any. I asked how many boxes a week does she do and she said about 2 boxes a week while being a teller. It wasn't encouraging but maybe she's trying to discourage me from doing it because she knows that I do halves and dimes.. Probably didn't want to add quarters to the list.. lol

I talked to one of the merchant tellers at my local BofA and she says that she finds about the same number of silver quarters as she does dimes. The bank also lets her look through their bags of halves before they're shipped out and she says she finds a lot in those too. Funny thing is that she collects for her son. I imagine if he gets into coin collecting he'll have a nice stash of silver to go with it

I've only did 1 other $500 bag of quarters. The halves here are picked over to an extreme here...in 10 boxes I only found a single 40% so far...not really worth my time. The other bag of quarters gave up a 1964 Washington. Since quarters are larger they are so much easier to handle out of the bag. I'll keep everyone updated on how I do with these coin counter bags of quarters. It's worth a shot....I'd say if you have something after 5 boxes or so it might be worth it.

It's kinda of strange.. the teller that I spoke with on it is at Wells Fargo.. maybe they're the dumping ground or she just doesn't want me to do quarters too. Halves from there have been terrible. I might try quarters down the road at some point. I wonder how many keepers your teller has accumulated at this point. Don't worry, I'm not driving all the way down to SJ for a silver quarter.. lol keep going with the quarters.. I figure that they are extremely easy to dump.
