Sorry Mad,

Saw this picture a couple of years ago on Coast to Coast Website. Still no explanation for what it was, though. Looks like a lizard with no tail, running on it's hind legs.

Actually, it looks as if it might be a photo of a meercat (see below)— probably superimposed rather than photographed on site.

But I like Willie's answer better! ;D

Aboutless than an hours time with a good photo program and you can put anything anywhere. I liike the meercat idea....

If you have ever seen a common cat up on its hinds legs in a defensive posture, looks very similar. Raccoons also stand up like this in a defensive posture...

Tried looking for this story on snopes.com but could not find it.

I think that's where I originally saw the pic when someone was claiming it was a photograph of "the goat sucker" running away.
