Welcome to the site! Please post an introduction thread.

Hello from KY

Hello Ya'll, as we say here in Kentucky. Been MDing for about 2 years with the AT Pro. Last week sent both the MD & pinpointer back to Garrett for erratic behaviors. I was having problems with both since early this spring, and decided to sent them in for a check-up. Hopefully I will be back in the saddle soon. Love this website!

Hello. My name is Ron and I'm from Kansas. Well I've always been into finding things since I was a kid. My uncle introduced me to my first metal detector when I was 8. Recently I bought a Bounty Hunter Tracker IV. Last weekend I went out to Lake Milford and found me a vintage Harley Davidson solid brass belt buckle that I currently wear. I will be posting pictures of my finding soon. Today, I took my girlfriends son out with me to a know old age spot. We found the following... 1- LC 64 bullet casting, 2- WCC 56 with silver tips still attached, 1- LC 00, 1- LC 77 and 2- DEN 43 which I believe that the DEN 43 was from WWII. I am very happy with my findings and my Tracker IV.

Hi, I live in Morristown Tennessee and I was given a metal detector for my birthday. I am so excited to find treasures. I have my first treasure that I found at Hilton Head while on vacation. Not sure what the age is, any help appreciated. It is 2.5 inches long and heavy. I don't think it has been shot.

Recently retired from Alaska. Have acquired minimal treasure hunting equip, ie detector, classifiers, and gold pans. Looking forward to putting them to use. Mostly interested in beach and swimming hole detecting. Oregon/Washington coast are of special interest for beaches and any pointers permitting me to stay within the rules and regulations in these areas would be greatly appreciated.

I am thrilled to find this site. I have been detecting and researching for almost a year (every day), and am happy to find others who share this same passion. Glad to be here. Thanks!

Thanks. What a great place to land!

Hi everyone I also am new to this site but have been looking for treasure my whole life from NY State to Haiti. I was lucky enough to have meet Art McKee, Mel Fisher and several others that showed me some great discoveries. I have dived on several Spanish and English wrecks sites roamed isle Tortuga in Haiti looking for treasure and combed the beaches in Florida. At this stage in my life I find myself living in NJ walking the beaches still looking. I am no expert with a metal detector still learning I am happy to have founded a great site with some very knowledgeable people.

Hi all,

Hello From Midcoast Maine,
Hey guys just got back into detecting after a 15 year hiatus. Recently purchased a T2 SE and have been doing lots of scouting and research in my area. Just got out for the first time this past weekend and forgot how much fun this is. Totally addicted, again :-) Abe
