My partner Possum scored a very historic site and we drove the 2 hours and it was rough. I from New Orleans I didn’t even know Louisiana had peaks and valleys. Needless to say it was a rough hunt and once the Mississippi River goes down we can cross and be on the paradise spot we’re waiting for. Needless to say I proudly found what I think is a Sharps and a musket ball. Thank you for looking image-2021-04-06-23:26:58-894.webp

Well Done. I’m confident there is more out there when you get back..sounds like paradise for sure..stay safe

its probably the pic angle - doesnt look like a sharps - looks like a Colt

bottom row is different varieties of Sharps from same spot

Hey guys I’m a take some pictures of it I have a different angle when I get home. Hope everybody’s having a good day out there.

Good to read of you two still scheming!
Recoveries await...

Good idea waiting for the water to fall.
Ol Possum 'd probably swim with his detector in his teeth if you didn't hold him back. L.o.l..

I would’ve said the same but it’s bigger than a Colt. It has a flat bottom as well
Might be a Burnside carbine or a possibly a beat up Merrill carbine. Tough to tell from the angle.
