this is inaccurate and pure hyperbole>> "I can guarrantee good dowsing weather around 2012 which the Ancient Mayans also predicted to be the year the earth ceases to exist." This is an incorrect interpretation. The Mayans simply stopped recording beyond our 2012 date and stated that there was the definitive end of an era (possibly as we know it), but not the end 'the world' or mankind. It really is worth studying some of the experts such as Carl Calleman in this regard. I have no doubt that all forms of psychic ability and innovation will quicken pace from early 2012. The emphasis on the solstice date of 21/12/2012 as being the 'pivotal moment' is also inaccurate. See Carl Calleman's work http://www.calleman.com for more understanding, as my bringing this up is irrelevant to this post (but points to inaccuracies and generalisations).
I am an amateur dowser of a few years now but would be what I consider a professional student, having gained three degrees. Not saying that to boast at all (I'd gladly give up the 2nd two for some of my life back), just to back up the fact that I am also quite well read in the field of dowsing and, based on the writings of the greatest dowser of them all, Abbé Mermet, I find no validity to this solar /lunar theory at all. I am clearly not saying you are wrong. I am saying that you are the first dowser to state this; in my extensive reading. It surely has caused provable effects in your dowsing (our recording of fact is, by its nature, biased; much like our dowsing success can be). But it is not responsible for all dowsing ability.
I do know that many dowsers (great and small, throughout recorded history) box themselves in because they decide its 'this' cause/effect analysis or its 'that' one. Again, other great dowsers have advanced their theories and some have been inconclusive also (Mermet too!). So that's not a deal-breaker. Your posts have also been enlightening to me, but I think its a bit much for any of us here to claim we have the definitive dowsing knowledge. He who finds the most, proves the most. Not neccessarily to the public, but to close friends and dowsing peers. (I, for one, will never post finds here as technically all finds belong to the Irish government and I'm afraid where hard currency is concerned, I'm not partial to that arrangement. Artifacts theirs, currency mine.
Just like some Tesla-inspired innovations (such as the Spiral of Tranquillity and other devices) have come in for scorn because they have seemingly redundant wiring, so too can other devices that we are not supposed to be discussing here anyway. But, they work well for some and not for others.
I do know that my psychic dowsing with pendulum is working well for the last four years. My field dowsing with rods is good, but could be better. As is my map dowsing. I think many times we place limitations on what we can/ can't dowse, what we can/ can't use as rods etc etc. I don't think the factors you have outlined are overarching limiting factors Max. They can surely be causal, and I welcome your statistics, but my dowsing has not disappeared in the last few years? It has, in fact, improved a lot; from a beginner base.
I'm newish here and welcome any and all info. But saying that your God is the only true God and that another man's is just a piece of pottery won't cut it here. Dowsing has travelled a rocky road in 150 years+ of solid literature. Its by no means definitive in theory but it works. And that's why its of interest to Treasure hunters. Not for the next decade. Now.
