So just wondering. I Just ordered a used Whites Dfx machine and i need to buy some good Headphones, there are so many out there, and i really don't know how to pick out the best headset, which headset's should i look at and which ones should i avoid. any ideas?? ???

I just got, GRAY GHOST, on E Bay... Best thing I ever did (well maybe ;D) I can hear things now! Big difference from the CHEAP crap you get free with a detector.....

I have a set of Grey Ghost "Nugget Busters" that I like very much. Also a set of the White's Royal GTs that seem pretty decent as well as a set of Koss that do pretty well also. Try to purchase a pair with the highest ohm rating you can find and dual volume controls if your hearing varies from one ear to the other. From reading posts on different forums for quite some time, I get the notion that all of the higher end phones designed for detectors do a good job. Just try to pick some that are comfortable on YOUR head.

I like the Grey Ghost and Black Widow headphones as they are super comfortable, have dual volume with click increments, volume boost. No matter which you decide on it is best if you can try them on at a dealers for fit first. It is not polite to then order online to save a nickel.

Old Redleg.

Ear phones, ear plugs, don't make much difference. :D ;D

all have a good un......
