occasionally I come across these. found this one today while
hunting with My Nephew djm of PA
They appear to be Rivets,

I have found the same thing only smaller. Mine also had the star and is about dime size. I thought it was the back of a Jeans button. steve

I thought they were rivets but I forget the company that made them. Maybe a search here with the words star, rivet..

I can't rule that out, but the stem is between 3/8 & 7/16 inch long.
My guess in my case , would be heavy jeans or where BIBS hook ?

They are common brass tack rivets.The ones with Stars have been rumored to have been made by,or used by the Storm Co. which made some gear for the C.W.....(?)
