I keep people talking about wilvers and use other codes and slang at this site. A picture would help.

At little help with decoding--the present, too For example, I know "lol" is Laugh Out Loud.

Happy 2008,

My new monicure is (SnorekneeDayton). You can guess why.

The wilvers they are referring to are actually Silvers. Silver coins for that matter along with the "coppa" or coppers that they have found. Why the slang? I have no idea ;D. Maybe they talk kinda funny where they come from!! "No offense kirkpa"!! 8) 8)

Happy New Year Terryve : (SnorekneeDayton).

Best person I think to answer your query is KIRKPA

He will explain it in a brief and to-the-point short paragraph ;)

Good Huting in 2008 to ya !!

D.

wilvers are a "typo" once long ago --- a member named kirkpa slipped (see that the w is above the s on your keyboard) he typed wilver instead of silver when called on it he just kept on using the term "wilver" rather than correct it--- its kinda like a running gag here --- "wilver is good" --- now you know --- "coppas" are old early british / american large copper pennies and half pennies -- ie old large copper type coins-- which are highly desired by collectors --- so now you know -- for some folks taste kirkpa comes off a bit brash -- but is a very good detectorist esp on old coppa's his favorite and he loves ols "wilvers" too. --- Ivan

Thanks Ringo for the advice. I thought coppa was a kind of ancient coin. I guess it's MDing humor.

You can't be serious ~ BABY TALK?! It's just fun ~ and just being funny. It has nothing to do with BABY TALK! You need to read the context in which it's used. It's just light-hearted funny phrases, terms and jargon that us were in the forum use.

I thought wilver was silver found with a Whites.

Heres another you may see:
