My wife found this at my family's farm. I know the property operated as a farm from sometime in the 1820's to 1830 through 1940 while owned by my family. However, due to the much older items we have been finding, the property was clearly inhabited back into the early 1700's. This item was found in the upper field quite away from the house or barns. The item seems to be made of thin copper. I think it looks Victorian. Looks to be about 6" round.

Maybe some type of decretive cover?

Thinking Post #3 is the identification. I'll give a couple more days in case someone else comes along with another idea. If not, I'll mark it as identified.
