I'm not sure if this has been addressed before but I feel as though I have a plan.

I'm always surprised to see the number of fishermen fishing in marked swimming areas which result in a number of fishhook finds. I never know what to do with these hooks since I don't want to throw them in my finds pouch and get stuck. I usually get out of the water and find a trash can to throw them into. A few weeks ago I found a cork and thought man, I could put this in my finds pouch and stick the hooks in it as opposed to taking a chance of it sticking me.

Today it worked out.

Good luck out there.

Great idea but with my luck, it would float out of the pouch.....

Cliff

I clean beaches to find these hooks and the cork is what I use but it is attached to the inside of the pouch so it doesn't float out. Took me longer than it should have to catch on. but it works.

That's a really good idea!

Magnet in the bottom of pouch or in a zip lock shouldn't float and a little protection.
