what era??

Here are three bullets I found, any idea of years?? I am Guessing 1850s?? Thanks again!!

The jacketed bullet is of a different breed, used in a gun with higher velocities and definately contemporary. The other two could be modern cast bullets for a blackpowder revolver. They would require some type of lube in those grooves to be fired in an original or replica revolver. Lube could be a commercial brand or even lard or crisco . The lube keeps the cylinder and barrel from leading up as well as preventing a flash fire ( one cylinder igniting another). Monty

we used crisco to keep from flash fire on the six shooters.
