Anyone have an idea or already have a hard case for their ATP? I normally use a military duffle bag for my machines and work fine but im going on vacation soon with the family and with all the crap my wife and daughter pack I need the security of a hard case to protect my Garrett. Does anyone have an idea. I need something that will fit it while still fully connected but shortened in length. Yes I know they have cases out there specifically but im not looking to spend $150+, something reasonably priced.

Look at bow cases at your discount sporting goods shop. You might have to lower the rod enough to turn the coil sideways if you have the stock coil.

I have packed mine in a suit case but took the batteries out for airport secuirty.

Found a case on amazon that's meant for storing stuff under the bed. Has a canvas covering over cedar boards inserts. Has three handles and a pair of wheels. 48" x 18" x 6" so its big enough all around to fit it plus extra coils. The price was a whopping $28 with shipping. Not using it for airplane travel but for car travel and im hoping the wood panels will provide security against my wife and daughters crap. Were heading to the Tennessee mountains and haven't a clue what might be there to look for.
