Re: what is it?

You'll need to post a clearer picture to get a proper ID. Also include a picture of the back. That will helps immensely!

Re: what is it?

Try taking a picture outside during the day but, not in direct sunlight. Also, back away about 18-24"s. I assume you have some type of photo editing software to resize the picture. If so, it may have a "crop" feature that will let you get a close-up to post. If not, you can e-mail me your pics and I will do it for you.

...or your photography skills. :D Use the macro setting (flower icon), push the button halfway and pause to let the camera focus. :icon_thumright:

i used a different camera, i think its a pin but some of the back is missing. i thought it was a man at first, but cleaned it up, and its a woman.

It could be a pin but my guess is a old button. possible early 1900's It looks silver! Really neat find nonetheless!!

It looks to me like a lady holding a bunch of flowers. Maybe I have been looking at to many buttons. :laughing7: It certainly is a nice find and I am sure very collectible :icon_thumright:

Looks like somebody holding a baby (arm in lower part.) It also looks like the baby is holding something too (looks like a small monkey to me....)

I think it is most likely a lid from a Victorian vanity set. There appears to be a "lip" or crimp on the underside of it, right? If that's the case, I'm pretty sure that's what you've got. Many of them were made of ornately decorated silver.

Best Wishes,
