Hello all!

This rang out as a half / dollar at 4-6" ....

looks a awful lot like a door window crank handle, it might have had some bakelite or plastic near the back to fill it out, then fit on a pin to the window crank. also could be from a button or knob inside the car, like a headlight switch, radio knob, etc..
Thanks what it looks like to me. maybe from the 40's or 50's?

Its penny sized... and the inner hole on the back IS threaded...

Can you tell what kind of metal it is? Is it pot metal? It doesnt look corroded. Where did you find it?

I fount it in front of a school... it doe look like the typlical older nickel finish you would have found on insterments...

These are some band instrument buttons I've found at high school football fields. When the whole band is out on the field marching and playing half time tunes, there's no time to look for buttons that fall off.
