What is it

[jtw1313]

I'm not seeing this as decrotive it can barley stand up......it is hollow and could hold liquid

[Terry Soloman]

Decorative wall sconce.

[Bruce R]

What's it made of, and can it be hung on the wall ?

[jtw1313]

Don't see how it could hang on the wall and I think it's made of some kind of clay

[Mackaydon]

I like Terry's answer: Sconce.
The hollow ear lobes could be holes for nails.
Don...

[Bruce R]

I'm gonna say he laid flat and you put incense sticks in his earrings.

[jtw1313]

What is top open for

[jtw1313]

I think to drink something like for religious stuff maybe?

[Bruce R]

Well I guess he's supposed to look Mayan , if you're mass producing something, it's cheaper to make it hollow just like most ceramics.

[ARC]

Bong ? :P

[Bruce R]

It probably doesn't have a purpose, just a " Thing " made to look like an ancient artifact.

[d2]

jtw1313, you may have answered this in the past and I missed it but do you have an antique store or business on ebay? I ask this because you have had the most " what is it's " that I can remember. Not complaining just wondering...d2

[flyadive]

It is a wall hanging Vase for a flower. Screw or nail through ears

[jtw1313]

Lol no but I guess I should right lol

[Itsmine]

The ear lobes look to me like a setting for stones/jewels...The holes in the back, look like they would allow light to enter the back and light up what ever was in the settings. Oddly enough i did a google search for Mayan fertility goddess. I found this image. although it's not really the same it was the earlobes that caught my attention.........Here's a link..https://www.google.com/search?q=may...KHbEwBTgQsAQIKA&dpr=0.9#imgrc=kzbed7yJnnJuuM:

[jtw1313]

It does look like something was in the ears at some point
