Found in Tuolumne County along with other artifacts. But, what is it? IMG_20171222_193657.webpIMG_20171225_074518_941.webpIMG_20171225_074349_439.webpIMG_20171225_074320_478.webpIMG_20171225_074428_437.webpIMG_20171225_074302_583.webpIMG_20171225_074320_478.webp

Depending on where you're from, It's either a rock or a stone.

I have found one just like the last one posted near a spring with several Indian bowls with the grinding stones still in them in Mariposa county, almost perfectly round with the two flat sides. I'm sure it's a tool but I don't know enough about it to be certain. I'll post a pic or two when I get a chance

A Rock! Come on up to Montana with a dump truck or two, or three....., and I am absolutely sure that we could fill them up with the same type of rock. We got lots of them.

All are natural stone, no need to post in Indian artifact forum.

Indeed, river cobbles most likely quartz.

That's funny because the third one IS posted in the Indian artifacts forum. And is DEFINATELY a mano! Olddigger you commented on it!

Wayne1972, It would be better if you started your own post with this rock. It is more likely to get an ID on it.
