Has a couple square "nails" in it...and "S" shaped inserts on each end. Any help on identification would be greatly appreciated! 20181010_131351.jpeg 20181010_131357.jpeg 20181010_131403.jpeg

The S shaped metal band is to keep the wood from splitting.
