Re: What is this thing

Well, the second picture is er... at an odd angle Even so, it almost looks like an old memorial or grave type marker

Re: What is this thing

I don't know what this object does, but in the first picture the design reminds me of two horse-like creatures performing an impossible (for horses) reciprocal sex act. Does anyone else see it, or do you see something else? If you see something else please share it, because I'm eager to stop seeing that.

Re: What is this thing

I'm thinking an old valve stem handle or door knob.

Great, I didn't see that until you mentioned it.

Could it be a type of drawer pull?

Along the lines of this one.

Re: What is this thing

looks like possably 2 dragons to me in a 69 position

With the long stem I'd say a Knob
or Door handle to a Gate.

Maybe a Moseleum ?

is it small enough to grip in your hand
alike a Door Knob ?

how long is the stem ?

long enough to fit through
a door & Put another handle
on the other side ?

Re: What is this thing

Could very well be a valve stem or door handle. The oval in the middle is what made me think some sort of marker but then again...
And it was bad enough looking at the bottom pic, now I see what everyone else sees in the top pic

PChammer shakes head, searches for very odd clues to this on Google and makes sure Anti Virus is up to date

EDIT: Just thinking, could it be a cane handle?

Re: What is this thing

I don't know what it is, but I'm seeing a dolphin(?) on the left side and some kind of animal with its head down, maybe a large type of cat, on the right.

Re: What is this thing

WHATEVER animals they are, they sure seem to be nose-deep in "it".

I think daroofa might be on the right track here. Quite possibly two dolphins. Both sides are the same, only one in flipped.
Either that or it might be insignia for the 69th Regiment

I see 2 dolphins.

LOL Peachy.

I do have a legitimate question, BUTT, I'm sure anyway I ask it, it's gonna be a run-a-way train, so here goes . . . .How long is the shaft? Okay, wait, how long is the rod? No, that's worse . .. How about how long is the long thing sticking out the back? Breezie

Oh god stop youre killing me!!!!

Re: What is this thing

Hmmm. I still say it's an old grave plaque\marker. The shaft could have simply been driven into the ground or even cemented or driven into a head stone at one time. The oval could have been for a small picture or writing.

Re: What is this thing

Curtain tie-back works for me. Since it's probably VICTORIAN, probably not naughty. If it was, they would be people.

Could it be a wall sword hanger.
