What kind of rock?

[stevieyoung1]

I found this rock yesterday and can't figure out what kind it is. It's really light and shows up having iron in it but is not magnetic

A cursury glance, suggests pumice. Welcome to T-net.

Thank for the info! Found it in a kind of strange place for it to be

[arnofarrell]

Where did you find it?

Buy the river

Does it float? I found a "rock" years ago that was very light and had a rough exterior and it actually floated. I always speculated it was pumice.

[stevieyoung1]

Yes it does float
