I made mine about 35 years ago but I cant remember the brand it was , but I ended up giving it to a club member of mine when I couldn't get out anymore. But I have 2 battery powered blower ( E-GO 450 & 550 CFM) that I've been thinking about one of them....Trouble with them is that they only run (like gangbuster's) for about a hour wide open . A wired blower like Goodygu posted is a real good one to start with. Just remember to add your own filter over the fan blade to slow down it's eventual destruction for the fine rocky dust your sucking up ! And inspect (look for small cracks in the blade) your fan blade BEFORE you leave to go prospecting ! Good luck & have fun !

Thanx guys. I did end buying a echo pb255 for $40 but it wasn't running. I took it to a local shop and for another 70 got it running good. Lots of air! Thanx again

A 10 ft PVC sewer pipe helps get the blower further away from the dust and your ears. I think they are around $10 at big box stores. Then use your flexible hose as a coupler. This is a Husqvarna blower but I also have an Echo and it still marries up with some fiddling.

If you have a additional air line for your blower and your out in the desert DWing try painting that white pipe black to gain heat to help dry out your material before it goes into your DWer ! I did this to my DWer years back and it worked great !

Oh! Great idea! I never considered that. It's currently painted gray, for the purpose of camouflage, since it stays in my spot year-round, but I will definitely be painting it black next time I'm there. Thanks!
