I'm not seeing any connection to White's in your pics - (maybe they had a contract with Sears to make some detectors back then ? )
looks pretty well made, I used to have White's 5900 DI Pro - It looked something like that as far as the knobs and dials ,and handle,
and meter . I think yours dates to the later 1970's or early 80's
Yeah on the inside of battery box it says manufacterd by whites. Wasnt sure if it was one of there orignal ones just painted up for sears or a model just made for sears only. Like radio shack detectors are made by bounty hunter
This is probably a Whites db4 made for Sears. Found some good stuff with mine in the day. If you are going to try and use it put it on mineral and keep the coil on the ground. Use reverse discrimination to eliminate the trash.
Took this beast 2 a school i havent been to before. Had 2 hours to kill. Dug 70 pennies. 3 dimes. 5 nickles. And 7 quarters. And about 30 pieces of trash. Nothing deeper than 5 inches. It was fun as heck to see what this old md could do.ill sure use it again for the hell of it.but ill tell you what the thing is a beast to swing with no arm rest. Elbow was hurting...lol
