What vehicle do you use for metal detecting?

I drive the 911 to work and the bar. I take the M8 only for the rare special times I get to go tectin. Its my tectin vehicle of choice.

I drive my 1998 Jap Import Honda Civic Ek4 SiR model, RHD:headbang:
1.6l dohc Vtec 170bhp ish
Lowered 50mm so not great off road :laughing7: but great handling down a winding road which Ireland has many

I had an 1996 Volvo 850 T5 2.3 Fpt manual estate which was great for taking every bit of fishing tackle I own (just in case:thumbsup:)

It depends on the search area, for my nearby permits i'll use the beauty below. The rest of the time i'll make use of our exellent public transport system; buses, commuter trains, the tram and the subway. With traces of 10.000 years of human history right outside the door here in Mälardalen, i've yet to see the point applying for permits further away than convenient.

1993 Jeep Grand Cherokee, 4.0 straight six, automatic. Back seats folded down, holds all my detecting stuff, extra cloths, tools, and cooler, and everything is dry!! Best ever!!

I use my trusty old 97 Jeep Wrangler. 245,000 miles, 150 CI 4 cylinder. The only time it let me down was when I locked my keys in it 6 miles from blacktop.

That's why I have a hidden key on my vehicle. I had to use it when the alarm system automatically locked the door when I got out with the engine running. lol Frank...
