I read some post recommending the Digital Blue QX5 for taking close up pictures of coins. Follow the link and you will see what they were talking about. The only reason I didn't buy one of these is because I already have a camera that will take macros. This unit sells for 80-90 dollars in different places. You cannot use it out in the field though as it works by connecting to your computer via a USB connector.
