My Only problem Is Clearing the Mud and Dirt out of the Speaker hole Just a Light washing and and Ocasional Tooth pick, No Problems!!! It only takes A Minute!! It Is the Best Tool I Have Ever Bought!!! Yes It is A Tool, And It can Stand Up to the Punishment I Put It Through!!!! I Have Probed , Punished, And Pried Large Items out of the Ground With it Its Scrached Dented And Ugly Now after all Of the Abuse and Is Still Works Great HH Chug

So's mine...i love my Garret. It looks like ir was dropped out a plane a couple of times but I can't seem to kill it. It just keeps on keeping on.

I really don't understand the hype over the Garrett Pro Pointer. I received mine and it didn't even work. Had to return it at my expense in order to receive another. I wonder how long the average pro pointer last? I went back to my Vibra Probe 580. It may not be as sensitive as the Pro Pointer but it only vibrates, it is more durable, no switches, and most importantly WATERPROOF to 100 ft. Actually I used it today in a stream. Can't do that with the Garrett, or you will kiss it goodbye.
I beg to differ..the pro pointer is waterproof if you wrap electrical tape around the speaker...that's what the hype is...its a better tool!!
Thanks for Your opinion guys I've chosen the Garrett's ProPointer. Now I'm anxiously waiting for it to come!
