Found this a while back, hope someone can tell me what it is. Think it maybe brass not sure.

An adjusting buckle off of who knows what.

Thanks guys, and It was found at a late 1800's house that's still standing. The oldest items I have found are some 3 merry widows containers and some 40's wheat cents.
