what's your experience with high school football fields

With my 950 coil, it would be very tedious, but what are you experiences and what's the majority of the finds and how often. I've not hit any football fields yet just because they're so big... but I'm running out of places for 'short hunts'.

I found a little pocket change along the sidelines of the local high school football fields but most of the quarters I found were in the end zones for some reason. Last year they installed *Astroturf and I tried to get up there when they stripped the sod, but missed it by one day. The stadium was originally built around 1912 and I'll bet there was some old silver to be had. You really have to watch those construction sites or you will miss out on the really good finds. Old football fields are the best. I hunted 1 very old one . Now they keep the gate locked. I found a lot of silver and a few gold rings. I even found a nice seated liberty dime under the goal posts. They are great ,hunt them if you get the chance. Mike.
