When someone refers to you as "Old Person"

It bothers me just a little only because I want to reply back with "I'm not old. I'm just a lot more wiser than you and don't rush to stereotype people and not ugly by calling people names. In fact, your brain is not even fully formed yet, hence your lack of understanding when calling your elders' "old". Just look at your current life. You rely on your mother for everything. You don't have one single loan payment... and you think a women that has children is 'not date-able'."

To be brutally honest, I'll love to ring their necks. Do you think it's because they lack a father figure, or just all around disrespect people all over? I really dislike the kids in this generation. They need a kick in teeth and then say, "How did that feel from an old man".

Re: When someone refers to you as "Old Person"

I Have absolutely No problem with
People Calling me Old, Old Fart, etc.
If they are Friends, or are saying it
to Try & Get my Goat :tongue3:

Or even if they are strangers & Get P.O.'d
at me in Person. & Say "Hey ya Old #$@%@#$
Watch what your Doing" or whatever :dontknow:
Words don't Kill, or Cripple.

Just Don't give me a Senior Citizen Discount.

I am 56 & Will Never consider myself a "Senior Citizen"

& Don't send me the AARP Scam Mail.

Of course a 21 Year old Hottie I'm trying to pick up,
Calling me a Fossil may Sting :laughing9:

I Have No Problem with discounts,
Just the words "Senior Citizen Discount"

How about "Personal Discount" ?

No Discrimination
Based on age or status!

Is there a "Teen Discount" ?
"Middle age Discount" ? I Know Some use the
"5 Finger Discount" :laughing9: How about a "Middle
Finger If I Don't get a Discount, Discount" ?

I'd be happy with the "Give Me a discount, Discount"

Re: When someone refers to you as "Old Person"

:laughing9: I'm almost 51, I think the grocery store discounts start at 55. I get a kick out the the youngsters looking at me, obviously trying to decide if I qualify for it or not. You can tell they asked the wrong person that question, and they really don't want to get yelled at! I just have a sense of humor about it, but I never volunteer my age, I make them ask, just for fun, just to watch thier faces....they ARE after all, still learning :icon_thumleft:

Re: When someone refers to you as "Old Person"

I am currently in the army and in my shop I am the "old guy". But I get mine. Just so happens this 'old guy' is their supervisor. So when the youngins' start feeling frisky this 6'4" 250 pound 'old guy' tells them that for training we are gonna do combatives. Mikeofaustin, just for you I will kick one of them in the teeth for you when I get them to the ground. :blob7:

Re: When someone refers to you as "Old Person"

Old, is old; so get used to it :laughing7:

I wish I had that problem, I still get carded when buying a pack of cigarettes :laughing9:

Re: When someone refers to you as "Old Person"

"Sir"........I hate being called, "Sir".
Started getting "Sir" in my mid to late 40's and it only gets worse each time I hear it. I'm not your boss or your captain! Call me "dude" or "buddy" or "pal" or just about anything other then, "Sir". :laughing7: And then the kid replied, "Yes Sir!" :BangHead:

Re: When someone refers to you as "Old Person"

I love it when youngun's call me sir. It means that they've either been to "BootCamp" or their parents or granny raised them right! In Michigan I get no "seasoned citizen" discounts, you have to be "65" years young. Now, when I drive through Florida, the age requirements are "55". I am currently a wretched 62 year old geezer........NGE

:headbang: :hello2: Same here !

I Think Using the the word Sir to their face Shows Fear.

I always hated Seeing TV Comedies Where the Kids call
their Dad "Sir" & their Mom "mam"

If they switched it then :headbang:

In Letters it's Different.
I'v used "Dear sir" & "sir" in
letters Because I Didn't know Names of who was actually
Reading it. I Never Used "Mam"

Re: When someone refers to you as "Old Person"

Dont sweat the small stuff mike, you'll be happier in the long run.

Re: When someone refers to you as "Old Person"

Hey, ya bunch of kiddies, it has its advantages lil sexy gals now open doors for me and give me admiring, shy glances as if they were speculating ????????/ - well one of the advantages is that one can dream sigh.

Don Jose de La Mancha

discount ?? what discount?

Re: When someone refers to you as "Old Person"

Do you still have all your original teeth? probably not.

old is old. anything old is something older than the other thing.

a 20 yr old can say a 40 year old is old. why not. it is older :laughing9:

things like this don't bother me. older is older and wiser and I have more money in the bank! :)

Re: When someone refers to you as "Old Person"

Nobody has any control over how old they are. If we had a few young people posting here, would they hate being called young almost as much as old people hate being called old? Best wishes, George (MN)
