Where are the Dowsers Finds???

It's easy to believe 99 percent of folks who claim detector finds because ANYone can go out and verify this works, and then post pictures.

It's VERY difficult to believe the dowsing finds because nobody ever posts finds... I think I would be skeptical, but very interested, if someone would at least claim to show some dowsing finds.

I think even if one in a million of you actually find something (besides water) I might still be skeptical.

I dunno... but thats my truth.

And maybe thats the reason some don't post pics.

The thing is that I DO believe that dowsers can find water, and oil, and other natural issues - but when it comes to "treasures" - I see and hear about nothing... just "that it is possible".

I wish a bunch of folks here would, by overwhelming force, assert thier finds and abilities somehow - kinda like the Minelab Detector folks do... LOL

I want to believe... but, I'm still waiting.

I can understand anyone wanting to see the finds, but the "You MUST show me your finds or you're not legit" attitude tends to turn people off.

Well, CC, it's not even this. If people were constantly pounding on dowsers to show their finds, then I could believe this were the case. But, it's been months since anyone asked them to show anything, maybe longer. And, even more than this, no one would ask anything of them if they didn't make the claims they do!

Seriously, if no dowser ever said that they had discovered all this gold, or all these amazing relics, then this wouldn't even be an issue at all. But, this isn't the case because they do make over-the-top claims like this.

Like I said before, I'm totally confused why this anomaly occurs in the dowsing area, where claim after claim is made with no one asking to see pictures of the finds, something that would never fly over in the metal detecting area....

I thought I would add a little to this thread. Less than a foot deep. What’s the odds of finding this with a metal detector?....Art

No clue what the odds would be. How big is it? How far does that gold extend into the stone? Is it just on the surface?

The Specimen is 3 inch’s x 3 inch’s x 2 ½ inch’s. The vein extends for about 2 miles and appears to be in the top of a natural cave. The depth seems to be from 1 foot to 100 feet …..Art

Any photos of the vein itself, or did you recover just the one stone? Also, I was actually curious about the amount of the gold in the stone itself with my questions before.

And, yes, a gold detector would easily pick up a stone that measures 22.5 cubic inches at less than a foot if it contained a decent amount of gold.

I broke the specimen away from the vein with a rock hammer. I could pay an assayer to give me his guess or crush it and weight the gold. In this form it is a lot more valuable than it would be if I were to alter it…..Art

Cool! Do you have any idea what the gold content of your sample is? Just a wild a$$ guess? Do you have to get mining rights for that vein?

No need to know. I put up a discovery marker along with my claim papers and put my 6 claim markers at the corners and the center line. The hardest part was remembering how to read a map with UTM Coordinate and putting it on paper like the government wants it….This claim belongs to our kids. I may break a few more pieces off but I have no plans to mine it commercial….I find that I enjoy the hunt but the recovery is not much fun….Art

Well, Art, I have to say I appreciate your participation in this. I didn't think any dowsers would step forward. Kudos, buddy!

af1733,

You give up too easily. Anyone can post pictures of rocks bearing gold. I am going to post one I have and I did not find this ore in Colorado. I have never been to Colorado. Anytime someone goes into worked out gold fields or worked out gold mines they may happen to find something like this-------it has nothing to do with dowsing--------IT IS NOTHING BUT CHANCE GUESSING!!!!!!!!! That is all that it is. If you go into acres of apple trees in the Fall of the year----------the chances are good you are going to find an apple that will suit your taste or looks good to your eye. I once totally believe in dowsing, I now have my doubts but chance guessing is so lucky sometimes you would swear that it works. And to tell you the truth the jury is still out on that word "WORKS"
Well, I was going to leave this for a few days then check again to see if any other dowsers make finds that are post-worthy, but ya beat me to it!

I've enjoyed the rock pics...

I do not question the finds... and appreciate the posts. :icon_sunny:

Good to hear from you again JD….If I remember right you have a lot of dowsing finds. Please post them....Art

Well beale, whether you found it with a metal detector, bought it, or it fell out of one of those apple trees, that's a beautiful rock. Thanks for showing it. Digum

These larger treasures will be recovered soon and then I can say with a certainty that dowsing works. I still haven't decided yet. I am still the same about religion, after seeing several miracles in my life time, doubt still enters my mind. If we could only get rid of the phenomenon known as doubt all things would be possible.

beale I hope you locate and recover $100,000,000.00. Then maybe you won't be such a skeptic. LOL Digum

Way too many questions! Are you a government employee? Do you work for IRS? Hmm..... claim jumper? Inquiring minds want to know? Would you post a pile of pictures of a large cache? Notoriety can really be a bad bad thing. This I know for fact

There's only one real question in my post, but I know Art and no matter how many questions I ask, he'll never answer. Even if he does answer, he won't provide an actual answer. I could ask him what color the sky is, and he'd post a link to a Wikipedia article about magnetic resonanace and it's effects on apple orchards in Venezuela.

No IRS, no claim jumper, no gubbermint employee. Just curious. But, ask yourself this question. If Art is looking to avoid notoriety, why post anything about finding a gold vein in the first place? Just keep it to yourself. Just as you say, inquiring minds want to know. He knows so much about this supposed gold vein, surely he snapped a shot or two while he was there.....
