Where have all the 90% gone?

So this month has been great for me. I have set a new record for total silver halves found. Set a new record for boxes in a month. Set a new record for average silver/box.... However, with all that great news I only found about a dozen 90% coins... 2 months ago I found about 8 times that amount of 90% halves.

I want to see a Walker in a box, or that ugly franklin coin!

I've been pretty lucky with 90% halves myself - at least as far as my ratio to 40% half finds.

So far this year my finds are 142 x 40% & 103 x 90% halves which is a ratio of 1.38 to 1.

For the past 6 months my ratio of 40% to 90% half finds is 1.55 to 1.

I sure hope my luck with 90% halves continues.

And my most common 90% find over the past 6 months has been Ben - which is just fine with me.

I guess I can pretty much attribute my success with 90% halves to two big cwr scores I've had over the past 6 months. Last week I found 50 x 90% halves @ one bank and in early Sept of last year I found 60 x 90% halves (3 solid rolls of Walkers & Bens)) at another bank. So those two scores account for most of my 90% half finds for the past 6 months.

That's why I sure love those customer halves - they've sure been good to me.

The CWR rolls seem to be well hunted out here. I do not have the time to hunt them down and boxes are productive enough for now...

Yeah, I felt a bit off posting that, but its not so much the 12 or so I did snatch up. Its the ratio of 90:40%

This weekends two boxes gave me five 90%ers, four Bens and one John.
Also 23 40%ers. Not too shabby.

As far as 90% halves go... who even likes that Ben Franklin? I think its a terrible looking coin. I think id rather have a 1964.

I actually like the design on all halves. What's wrong with Franklin halves? But, yeah walkers are very nice to find. How many walkers have you found? Any barbers?

I have found 27 Walkers and 5 Barber halves. Oldest Barber 1899 O and oldest Walker 1934.

Well my results are skewed- Ive really only started hunting hard about 3-4 months ago. Did it casually for years, but only in my pocket change and coins in my cash drawer at work- But I have about 13-15 walkers(would have to count), and 23 Franklins (did count em yesterday). Ohhh and 0 barbers-
