I love old cellar holes in the woods.beaches are cool when few people are around.

I was at Cape May once this summer. Part of it is state park and cannot be hunted but I went to the "non" state park beach and did find a bit of clad. No gold though.

I would have to say long gone towns and fair grounds. There usually farmed fields or just grass plains now.

Keep in mind that it is illegal to metal detect anywhere in any State Forest.

Ive been to cape may several times but never mid summer when theres the most people. Ive done well in AC and its surrounding areas. I usually hunt up here in Ocean County.

If you head out into the woods just remember to protect yourself, the weather has been warm and ticks are for sure looking for a good meal

I like to mix it up and at this point I don't really have a favorite: parks, farms, woods, beaches and private homes.

I guess my favorite is whatever gave me my last favorite find so right now it is farm fields.
