Tourn fished for years. Right now I would top water early morn buzz bait black or a floater and walk the dog off walls and rocks docks and ramps. Once that stops go to a spring lizard texas rigged in pumkin seed same areas. If the fish misses a top water have a texas rig ready and you will pick him up .As the day warms go to the shore that the wind is blowing plankton into and try some med cranks.When you have full sun hit deeper water with a little current with deep diving cranks or carolina rigged platic worms. Reverse your strategy towards the end of the day. Hope this fills the live wells.

this is good advice

I also use a black buzz bait early and add a white MR twister on the end and a trailer hook

Well...didnt catch a dang thang but a sun burn!

Im telling yall...that was the hardest fishing we've ever had to deal with there! Couldnt understand it.
Early morning top water didnt even make em budge. We tried worms, we tried lizards (my personal favorite) we tried buzz bait, top water, you name it, and we could not get a decent fish to bite. Even rigged every possible way there was and still couldnt get em to bite. One of the pros said it had something to do with the barimetric pressure
It was T.O.U.G.H! I gotta good tan though!

Bridge? A 9 pounder won the boat this time....usually a 10 pounder. Yes your right, Lake Fork has some of the biggest bass in the United States...The bass there look like foot balls! I think i'd fall over dead if i were to real one of those in! Real sure i'd have a heart attack!
I've always wondered how they get so big, is it because Lake Fork is a slot Lake maybe?

Hubby had two, i guess you call them spoons, thats what i thought when you said 'shiner' matter of fact he pulled them out of his tackle box to show my sis in law, and i told him i wanted to use one, and then i forgot about them, but theres so many stumps there, its real easy to get hung up. I lost two of my favorite lures saturday. I was so mad.

It took us 2 1/2 hours to get there Bobby. The tournament is saturday 6-3, and sunday 6-12. We always go on the Thursday before, and get our room, which you have to book way in advance if you wanna spot. We go Thursday and hang out with My brother and sis in law, and another couple. Something hubby looks forward to every year. You've got time to think about going, you would LOVE it.
It would be great to finally meet my bro.
