which coil?

I'm waiting on my ace250 to arrive. I've read a good bit on here so far. I was wondering, which spare coil should I get? The 9x12 or the small one, can't remember the name. I'll be hunting old homesites a good bit and relic hunting in the woods and fields. Thanks

Then there will probably be lots of trash there, if so a smaller coil
if little trash, get a big one.

For high trash area get the small one. For relic hunting in less trashy areas with low ground mineralization use the large coil.

It is best to get all the coils that are available for which ever detector you buy. You never know when you will need each one.

Waiting to hear how you like your 250....Just got mine Wed. night and only been able to mess in the yard late at night. Hopefully today I will be able to get a little time in before it gets dark. Let me know how you like it.
