Who Collects WHISKEY FLASKS?

After 'rock' showed us his coffin flask from a Georgia river, it occurs to me that there are probably lots of interesting flasks in the collections represented here. Definitions may vary, but for the sake of consistency in this thread let's say that a flask is a bottle that is flattened front-to-back, has a capacity of less than a quart, and is commonly associated with spirits -- a "pocket flask."

Show us your flasks.

Here are some of my Paterson flasks Harry, I have about 15 others as well...

Here's another flask from my shelf. This one has no base, and will not stand on its own. This is a minimalist pocket flask., sometimes called a "teardrop" flask.

That's a great flask Harry, what do you figure 2 or 3 ounces? My Paterson collection just got bigger last week when I purchased about 105 stoneware jugs, working on getting them from the sellers home to mine a little at a time so nothing ends up breaking. I probably have about 400 glass bottles and 150 stoneware peieces in all...

Here is one that a friend of mine found laying in some woods. I'm not sure what exactly it contained but I think it may have been whiskey of some sort. Any thoughts?

I can't read the embossing very well, but it's almost certainly a whiskey flask.

Here's a Georgia bottle for you, 'GaRebel' . . . this one is from a creek near Albany, Georgia.

Georgia went dry in 1908, but the company
continued to operate distilleries in Anderson​

County, Kentucky, until Prohibition.​

I'll see if I got a better picture of the one that I posted. It is from Hawkinsville Georgia. Albany Georgia is in next county over from me!

I remember. Maybe the best artifact find i've ever seen by an individual who is not an archeologist. I recommend to anyone with a little time to find that thread and see your find.

Man, that is a fine looking flask! Scarce too, I believe. Anything on Grover's obverse? I wanna see more pictures, please, and hear more about it's discovery...

That is an impressive group of flasks, 'undertaker'! Group images are nice, but how about picking out one or two for a close-up image. Give us some details on the individual bottles so that we can learn something.

This is one I like alot. It's a GVIII-29 sunburst flask.

Here's a real nice color Washington -Taylor flask I picked up a few years ago very cheap. Those were the good old days.
