So I thought I would post up. Havent been hunting a whole lot lately, been spending too much time and money doing this 6.webp

and this
1.webp

Have managed to get out here and there for an hour or two, made a few finds though. These first pics are a spot I got to hunt a couple of times, once with my twins Max and Marc, some demos right next to a local high school,I pulled a merc and a couple of wheats,my buddy Kent dug 3 silver dimes,an 1880 something indian and a Buffalo.2.webp3.webp

Hunted a little bit down in the ghetto, counted 19 various chigger and mosquito bites when I got home but was worth it I dug a merc and a beat to death 1897 indian so I was pleased as punch til the itching started. Dug another merc at an old homesite I hit for twenty minutes now and then when Im passing by,dug up a couple of skeleton keys,a Harley owners pin and a US military pin along the way. My biggest find to date came at an old baseball field I had forgotten I knew about, thank all of you for staying on me to dig the trash. Pulled out a honker 14kt womans ring with 3 really nice size rubies on it,Ive been digging trash like a mad man ever since.

These next ones are all from an old farmhouse that was recently torn down that Ive been checking out,a big developer is building something or other there. I hunted it sat. evening for about two hours then again sunday evening for another couple of hours. Im not sure what sort of farming went on there but Im certain that at least once or twice they tried coin farming because there are coins buried all over this place. I might dig a hole and 2 3 or 4 coins will flop out,Im calling it the'coin farm' I couldnt get down to any of the deeper stuff because for one the clad is just laying everywhere and 2 the ground away from the house is hard as a rock. I think if I have enough time I may be able to make some really good finds there, its rained two days in a row so Im going back down there tomorrow and see it it has softened up any,I did manage to scrape the clad off of two mercs, both early 20s and one wheat that got camera shy so I dont know the date.

This last one is a pic of Mr.Stewart, just because hes so handsome,Im positive hes going to be famous one day as some big sports star or movie star or something else real high profile, mark my words

Nice finds and even better reef tank- looks like your zoos and hammer do well! my reef has been neglected this summer- happens every summer though.

Nice diggins'! Keep it up.
I think is see Nemo in there.......

That is a very nice ruby ring there. ;D The other stuff is sweet too. Looks like you have some decent hunting spots. Keep at it and thanks for the dig the trash reminder. I forget that one a lot(on purpose). ;) :D

Those saltwater tank are quite the little eco systems. Looks like you have done well. Must be a bummer to have a clad farm at your disposal ::)

Sweet digs man.

Luck to ya

awesome post! something for everyone! great finds, pretty ring! incredible tank you have....I love those salt water tanks..there is always something to watch! Mr Stewart...what can I say? fabulous! ;)

Sweet looking salt water tank, you have been working! Nice finds too, especially that ruby ring. Keep em coming!

I wouldn't complain about a site producing like that, even if it was all clad. Nice finds!

Nice work, good coins.
I can relate to the Chiggers, just got over a case.

Around the forth is when the babies hatch and bite. They should be gone soon. The adults don't bite.

mr stewart should run for president,as an independant!..he looks intelligent!

Thanks for the replies guys, its a lot of fun to have people to share all our finds with. You try and tell commoners about what you find and they just dont seem to get it,its nice to have all the hard work get some recognition. Reef tanks really are a lot of fun and very addicting. I didnt want to set one back up because I knew how much time and money they require, now that its running good I cant imagine not having one. The whole family spends so much time staring into it,its really unbelievable. The wife has taken the tv out of the living room because we never even turn it on anymore, its out in the 'Man-cave'(garage) now but isnt seeing much action. Coral reefs are really disappearing at an alarming rate, eventually the only corals left will probably be in tanks. There is really a huge following for saltwater tanks, one forum Im a member at(reef central) has over 40,000 members. Many of the corals can be snipped or fragged and can then be sold or traded to other reefers increasing the chances that the coral will survive somewhere. Its like keeping a garden inside your home. Save a reef, buy a frag :}...Shoot

Hey shoot.I see you have an explorer 2.I was thinking about trying to pick one up used on e-bay.Would you say this is a good bet in the $700 price range?
It seems I could pick up an MXT at about the same price or a little less.

Also,How do you feel about goats?
