I had a few hours before work yesterday so I decided to go play near my ugly tree. I got a few mixed coins, a vent back button, and one really worn William 111 Half Penny (1694-1702). It should have a little more detail when I finish conserving it. Also, I finished conserving a piece of iron that I first found near the ugly tree. It kept me coming back to the area. It reminds me of the tree itself. So, next time you're out detecting don't make fun of an ugly tree!
