Up in Middle Park. It's Colorado, but note the marked absence of trees and tourists. Lot of evidence of paleolithic people's presence here. And just because I like it, a jacked up pic of my new truck.

Looks like an interesting area. Is the lake natural? Good looking choice in the pickup.

It's an impoundment, od, a lake to supply the front range. The water is managed by the Denver Water Board, because we can't let the lawns in Denver turn brown. In that miniseries Centennial old Hans Brumbaugh was talkin about takin the water from the mountains to the front range and it came true.

Nice Truck, I don't know if it would work in North Carolina Outer Banks. Wish I had a 4 Wheel Drive Truck my self to drive on the Beach.

It's a 4x4, goldnugget. 5.3L V-8, too. It'd probably work for you, but you'd definitely want some different tires, as those are just basically street tires. It has more clearance than it looks like but a 2 or 3 inch lift wouldn't hurt. And remember, when you get a 4 wheel drive stuck, you're really stuck.

agree, on when you are stuck, you are stuck, been there and done that, still need someone that Metal Detects the Outer Bank of North Carolina Beaches to explore from Corrola, N.C to Virginia driving on the beach. I have a shovel and experience digging.
