Working with youtubers

Been getting alot of attention from the youtubers lately. The "Florida wild woman" found me a few years ago, and we have forged a pretty good relationship based on adventures in the keys. She is a biologist for the state of Florida, and works for FWC. Often times after big storms, and king tides, I will team up with her on government managed lands to gather exposed native American artifacts for the state of Florida!! At the same time she is developing a career in media, and has dragged my butt along with her. We have teamed up with coyote Peterson of brave wilderness fame, and she has a nice budding career in conservation and outdoor Florida adventures. She has proven herself to me as an incredible tracker and has the grit to survive in the harshest bush conditions....so about a year ago we made a video for her new youtube channel....it took awhile for her to get set up, but here we are finally getting our adventure out for everyone to see. Now of coarse I would have made the video very differently, but the nature of a collaboration is to work with others and trust in there creative process. Since the video dropped ive had 3 offers from some great treasure channels for projects, and am now thinking maybe I should give a little effort and try and start something treasure related on youtube....we will see ? Anyway here's Christina's video!!

NICE Bart!! I just watched the video & subscribed to Christina's channel. I used to watch a lot of boating videos years ago, especially boating videos in FL and Islamadora on the sand bars. I'm envious of you FL guys, the waters here in MD are dark brown & murky, can't even see your feet when water hunting, lol.

Youtube sure has grown since I started in 2008 , Me... being one of the first to do youtube beach hunting video's who would have ever though it would make some millionaires. I went a different path, doing them for myself most to watch someday when I can't get wet anymore..

Joe, you are the OG of metal detecting videos. 13 or so years ago, it was you and Critterhunter that I followed intently, as we all were working on modding our Sovereign's & Excals.

Countless detectorists since then have been able to mod their detectors and improve their finds because of the detailed instructions you so freely shared. It's easy to tell who's doing videos just for the money vs those who do videos because of their love & passion for the hobby.

I think all MD channels these days owe you a debt of gratitude, as you were one of the early adopters and pioneers of MD videos. Lord knows, you've helped me more than I could ever imagine.

Amazing how fast and how much sand one can move with just the foot. I have a friend who uses a real short dive/swim fin on his right foot.

Just wanted to thank everyone for the positive response.....obviously Christina is new to the metaldetecting scene, but her approach to making the video was different than the typical staring at the coil and scoop. This formula of staring down at the coil and scoop is a very dated approach but seems to be the norm amongst detecting video creators. So I was happy the video wasn't the typical type.....what I was disappointed in, was that there was no close ups of the silver and gold. Like I said though....a collaboration is allowing the content creator the freedom to work in there own unique style, so you have to compromise and adapt to there style of story telling.

There is a mega project in the works with coyote Peterson, but nothing is ever set in stone with Hollywood until the contracts are signed. It would be a major production and be competing with the major network treasure shows currently on air and streaming. I just roll with the punches, and see where it all goes, or if it ever happens. I'll always be treasure hunting either way....makes no difference to me. The Hollywood types are always saying things like....please wait, and dont dig it all up before we can get it on film !! 🤣🤣 I just laugh and smile and keep sending them pics of everything being dug up !! If I do a show, it'll be more about the adventure than the treasure....although I will find stuff....good stuff !! Meanwhile I just keep diving and digging, and exploring, and hunting, and finding !!🫡
