My favorite place to detect just so happens to be the gilgo beach stretch of beach where a serial killer lurks and may have struck again over the weekend.

Just waiting for that knock on the door from the detective, I'm sure ill be questioned sooner or later. I keep on thinking about the time I was deep in high hills beach section, came across an an usual bone I dare not to touch, then having a weird feeling I was being watched

I hope they solve this case already

If you're afraid, then don't go. If you do go, go armed and with friends in the daylight and stay within a few paces of each other. Guys looking for easy targets will pick easy targets.

better pack heat out there tectin, just to be sure. I hope they catch the perp soon. Lotta crazy rapes and murders and stabbings going down lately round here. People just need to relax and try to wait out the next 3 and a half years.

I don't think you have anything to worry about unless you're a 20 something prostitute. Isn't that who he targets?

He also killed a male and his infant son.

I wouldn't worry.

At any given time (according to FBI estimates) there are 300 "serial killers" roaming the US.

I'm sure we all have encountered somebody with a dirty secret and survived.
If I were you I would be more concerned about being seen digging holes at night in a place where one is supposedly "operating"

Of course it's always good to be safe and aware of your surroundings, but in my opinion, once we let the psychos dictate what we do and where we go, they've already won. So I say be safe but keep on detecting.

I always go armed and its not that I'm afraid, I just get this uneasy feeling the killer actually lives somewhere in the thick brush. Lol

Look at the "Serial Killers" and "lunatics" of the past. The very reason that they get away with it i BECAUSE they are so normal.
They don't have horns, they look just like you and I.

Take a 'friend'......Frank... Blue 1212.webp

Frankn, I hope your crazy azz Fido is a good doggy, and not one of the serial killer types. Does he attack on command? :sad5:

That's not a dog, that's a four legged threat.

People own those for the intimidation factor.

Up here those breeds are commonly known as "Skagit Valley Poodles".

Frankn, is your dog a trained attack dog? Do you bring this beast tectin with you? Just curious...... Handsome fellow by the way.

I will hunt where a serial killer lurks. How much you want to bet, if we meet, HE'LL be calling the police!? TTC

Well, if you're that worried just take along a friend who can shoot straight, set fire to the brush and weeds and shoot whatever comes out. Done deal...
