Wow... Remember I said I like hand-made sinkers...

Yesterday was a hard digging kind of day. The targets were plentiful and I got into a batch of bullet sinkers and just hunkered down. Here is a picture of my boat at the end of the day....



Next up is a shot of all of the hand made sinkers, less the ones made out of bullets...



And now the bullet sinkers. Notice the Prussian...



Here are some bullets that were mixed in....



Next up are a couple shoe buckles...



Here are a couple of lead sinkers that have some sort of writing on them. I haven't been able to figure out what they are yet. Any ideas?



And a "blow through" fired bullet



Here is a really well preserved carbine sling hook....




And the "rest of the stuff" that I lugged into the house last night when I got in. More cow bell!



One underwater shot of the algae that grows in all of the creeks up here. It's not too bad until it floats up and creates huge mats of rotting, stinking vegetation. Worse smelling stuff on the river. It will be around until fall. Pretty cool looking though...

How do you do it? Right by the shore or do you go out in the shallow section and wade?
Also, how do you get it all of the bottom?

Nice collection of finds. I can't imagine digging that many sinkers. I am ready to do a river hunt soon and will check out your videos.
