XS in tot lots

I have a xs and hunt with it almost every day. During my lunch hour I go to a close by school or park and get in about 40 minutes of hunting. My problem is tot lots. I can't get any closer than about 8 inches of the metal poles. I've tried low sensitivity and high sensitivity. Is there a setting that will allow me to get closer to the play eqipment? Or is there something that I could carry to block the poles? Any suggestions would be appreciated. I know I'm missing some good targets.

I think its very hard to do much, but you can try, switch to ferrous without discrimination--open screen-- drop sensitivity and listen. in some situation even if you hear ferrous everywhere you can hit target by sound too,,very mix target ID,,. sometimes when I hunt on old houses site I have similar situation and sometimes I dig something. good luck

A smaller coil, and maybe a concentric would have less of an outside foot print. But personally I would just avoid getting too close, and there's still 99.9999% of the area to hunt!

Aside from using a smaller coil there isn't much you can do. Remember the metal poles sometimes go in the ground at an angle too.
